Self-Service roll-out to St. James's Hospital

Roll-out of the Patient Self Service check-in and patient calling system within the St. James's Hospital campus continued in 2016 with the addition of self-service kiosks to the Diabetics department and the new Mercer’s Institute for Successful Aging (MISA) hospital. In addition to the self-service kiosks already installed in the main outpatient’s department in 2015, the hospital has seen a rapid increase in the number of patients now using self-check-in service for their outpatient appointments, freeing up hospital administration & clinical staff for other duties.

Further roll-outs are planned for both the GUIDE department and the new Hepatology department in Q4 2016. Other departments such as Physiotherapy are scheduled for early in 2017.
